It looks like the US and EU have declared a five-year truce that will remove the recent import tariffs on wine. From the Washington Post:
"Under the terms of the E.U.-U.S. deal on airplane manufacturers, the two sides agreed to put aside differences in their nearly 17-year battle over government financial aid for rivals Boeing and Airbus. The truce will suspend tariffs related to the dispute for five years, Tai said."
I guess that means my 6 bottles of 2019 Pontet Canet will end up being pretty reasonable at $80 before tariffs and taxes.

Re: Five years to get your imported French wine
I don't think we're going to see tariffs again. Funny thing is that the problems with international shipments have continued to lead to import issues even with no tariffs. I think once all that gets ironed out there will be significant downward pressure on Bordeaux prices -- although it may be hard to notice given huge inflationary pressures on all fine wine prices.
