Color showing very little to no signs of age. Cork was in pristine shape. Popped and consumed over a few hours. Wonderful nose. Cranberry, earth, pie crust. Red fruited on the palate but layered with blue fruit underneath. Lovely acidity. Still more primary than I'd have guessed it would be at 24. Still some dusty tannins to be found. No rush at this point. 94 pts for me.

I’ve been impressed by recent DDC including 2014, 2015, 2016 (the best of the lot) and 2018.
I can’t remember if I ever had the 2000, but look like i should find some as your description make me feel like it is a classical styled Pessac.
