Haut-Bergey 2005 Alert

I just wanted to let you guys know, I have never tried this wine but have heard great things about it. Tomorrow at Astor Wines in the East Village, they're having a 15% off sale on all Bordeaux wines as part of thier usual tuesdays 15% off deal on a region. Most of their Bordeaux prices are pretty awful, but they have 2005 Haut Bergey for $35, which is an excellent price for a highly rated and even BWE approved wine (as I understand) in this controversial vintage of the millenium. And yes, that's an additional 15% off so you're getting out the door with a $30 per bottle price on this often sterling Pessac-Leognan rouge. Good luck and let me know if anyone scores besides me.

That's a good price, Chris, that's what I paid at Zachy's a few months ago. Of course, Blanquito probably got it for like minus-$12 on futures....
